Note for the site owner: this policy has been drafted to describe how Zayteen actually operates, but it is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have a Pakistani lawyer check it before launch, particularly if you begin shipping internationally or accepting online payments.

This policy explains what we collect when you use zayteenpk.com or order from us, why, and what control you have over it. Zayteen is the data controller. We are based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

What we collect

When you place an order

Your name
Your WhatsApp or phone number
Your delivery address, city, and any landmark note you add
The contents and value of your order

We do not collect or store card or bank details, because all orders are cash on delivery.

When you message us

Whatever you send us on WhatsApp or by email, along with your number or email address. WhatsApp messages are held on your device and ours, and are also processed by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Automatically, when you browse

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and any analytics described in our cookie policy.

Where your order data is stored

Order details you submit through the checkout form are not sent to a server we control. Pressing the checkout button opens WhatsApp with your details written into a message, which you then send to us. Until you send it, the information stays on your own device. Your cart is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

How we use it

To confirm, pack and deliver your order
To contact you about that order, including delivery updates and problems
To handle returns, replacements and complaints
To keep basic sales records as required for tax and accounting
To improve the website and understand which pages are useful

We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing messages unless you have asked us to, and you can stop them at any time by replying to say so.

Who we share it with

Courier companies, your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver and collect payment
Our hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf
Government authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information

That is the complete list. We do not share customer data with advertisers or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Message threads are kept for as long as they are useful for customer service, generally two years. Server logs are kept for 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your information where we are not legally required to keep it. Message or email us and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, to avoid disclosing your details to somebody else.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders. No system is completely secure, and we will tell affected customers promptly if we become aware of a breach involving their information.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
